  • Think up creative ideas for print, television, internet or direct mail advertising in partnership with a copywriter and/or other members of the creative team.
  • Ensure that the ideas are appropriate to the client's brand
  • Create a visual layout of the advertising to complement advertising copy
  • Create a visual sequence (storyboard) for television advertisements
  • Present concepts and ideas to the client
  • Select proffessionals from outside the agency to work on a project
  • Negotiate contracts with individuals involved in the advertising process such as photographers, talent (people featuring in advertisements), television directors and other production workers
  • Co-ordinate the production of the advertising
